Good budgeting app for a manual process, but if you have a credit card you use for purchases and immediately pay off it's a pain. The totals always get out of sync and I find myself spending hours each month trying to figure out why YNAB has the wrong amount on my CC balance. Half the time I end up doing a full reset, but it will have some discrepancy again in another 1-2 months, I'll check all transactions and they'll all match so I give up and reset again.

Clinton, that sounds super frustrating and NOT what we'd expect you to experience as someone who makes credit card purchases and immediately pays them off! YNAB is designed so that as long as you're not overspending, you should always have the correct amount set aside. YNAB Support can work with you to get things running more smoothly! \-Blair@YNAB

while I like YNAB and feel like it is a good investment, I am not a fan of the latest update. Font is smaller, now I have to use my reading glasses to see the app, didn't have to before. there's way too much info, it feels cluttered. I don't like how you cannot easily see the details on a saved transaction when you go to edit. you have to click "see more" to see details. this adds no benefit to the app. the one thing I like is the option to easily see uncleared transactions.

Hi Alisha, thanks for posting! We're always looking to improve, and feedback was part of why the "See More" option was added. Would you be up for writing to us via the app or help @ynab.com about where you feel the app's cluttered or the font got smaller? ~ Lauren @ YNAB

One of the recent changes to updating transfers: when adding/subtracting an amount, you don't see what you're typing. Intriguing. Don't try searching to review inflows greater than 0. It will crash and you have to remember to enter a non-zero number. Relying on the web app to review totals for views, while managing transactions on the mobile, is very clumsy. I used to enjoy using this app. I dread the updates. At least you can still multiple select transactions and perform bulk updates.

Hey Leonel, glad you brought this up—it's not expected that the app would crash during a search. We'd love a chance to problem\-solve with you on this and anything else that seems "off" to you. Reach out in the app and we'll put our heads together! \-Blair@YNAB

What’s new

Life is short, spend it well. Here's how we're helping you this week:
— Auto-categorization is now smarter! A single, one-off recategorization won't change a payee's usual category. Instead, the default category will only change when 2 of the 3 most recent transactions agree on a different category.
